Flutes: A Sparkling Start to Jamaica Food and Drink Festival 2024
Presented by Visa and powered by CB Foods, JFDF 2024 promises to be an exceptional celebration of food and drink, and Flutes was the perfect preview of the creativity and sophistication that guests can expect in November.
Renowned Chef Celeste Gordon delivered an outstanding dining experience, while Wine Educator and Connoisseur Debra Taylor-Smith led a sparkling wine tasting, guiding guests through a selection of exquisite wines that perfectly complemented each course.
From the Trio appetizer: Fried Brie with Orange Blossom Honey paired with La Marca Prosecco, Blini with Smoked Salmon, Crème Fraîche, and Caviar paired with Ruffino Prosecco, and Parmesan Truffle Popcorn paired with Ruffino Rosé Prosecco, guests were immersed in a world of rich flavours.
The main course, a Seafood Pot Pie served alongside a Mixed Green Salad with Lemon Basil Vinaigrette, was paired with a refreshing Santa Margherita wine, balancing the dish’s savoury notes perfectly. For dessert, guests enjoyed a Crème Brûlée Raspberry Cheesecake, beautifully paired with Cavicchioli Rosé Prosecco, leaving a lasting impression.
As the evening progressed, excitement for the festival continued to grow, with many guests eagerly looking forward to the next pre-festival event, Sips: A Boozy Tea Affair, set for Sunday, September 15, at Terra Nova Poolside.
