Since the beginning of the pandemic, three years ago, BossMom Builds has grown significantly, from delivering groceries and small amenities in 2020 to building six homes and supporting some 130 mothers-in-need through corporate and private partnerships. The program’s second build mission in 2023 aimed to gift a mother-in-need with a safe and secure home.

Kingston Industrial Garage (KIG), authorized dealers for Ford motor vehicles in Jamaica, is one of the corporate partners that have supported the BossMom Network in its mission to empower mothers-in-need. KIG made a generous contribution to the recent initiative, which included twin beds and mattresses along with other furniture items, industrial gloves, paint brushes, and food, through its partnership with BossMom Builds.

Judith Denton, Head of Sales, Marketing and Communication at KIG, noted, “With this build, KIG Ford expands their involvement beyond being an official transportation partner to BossMom, as she continues one of her passionate pursuits: working with Food for the Poor to put single mothers whose living conditions are disheartening into a new home. We are pleased that our extended sponsorship has helped to relocate this family into a clean and comfortable space, which will ultimately reduce their vulnerability and foster nurturing and growth.”

The BossMom Network and its community of successful women are committed to giving back to mothers in need and empowering them to rebuild their lives, and pursue their dreams and aspirations. The partnership between BossMom Builds and KIG demonstrates a dedication to building stronger, more supportive communities and making a lasting difference in the lives of individuals and families alike.
