Welcome back to another exciting feature on my skincare journey! For those of you who are new, I am on a skincare journey to find the best products to help me age gracefully!
So far, Kiehl’s has answered the call and has allowed me to try a few of their latest products which I’ve integrated into my daily skincare routine.
The two latest products I’ve received are Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Cloud Cream and Midnight Recovery Concentrate which I will be reviewing today. Disclaimer: I partnered with Kiehl’s to bring you this review!
The Night is Yours | Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Cloud Cream
Product Background
It’s lighter than clouds, whipped texture instantly melts into the skin. Plant botanicals work to nourish skin while Jojoba and Squalane help smooth fine lines and strengthen your skin’s barrier. Plus, it’s made with Omega 3 & 6, which help to restore and protect the skin.
The Review
The product comes in a round midnight blue tube which I think is a clever packaging choice due to the name of the product and the signature Kiehl’s text in a gold print. It’s all about texture with this product and they got it right. It’s a nice light blue almost lavender color and it kind of reminds me of whipped cream, but a bit creamier. I will describe it as substantial as I find that a little goes a long way with the product. Though it’s quite heavy, the application is rather light and goes on smoothly.
How To Use
- Apply Midnight Recovery Cloud Cream as the second to last step of your skincare routine.
- Warm Midnight Recovery Cloud Cream between your fingers, press into your skin, and enjoy its soothing natural fragrance as you prep for sleep
- Follow with Midnight Recovery Concentrate
I use this after I’ve cleansed my skin and apply it at night before bed as it’s said to reveal younger skin by morning. It does have a scent that is memorable and if you are a Kiehl’s user, you will notice this scent as Squalene which is quite strong when you open the bottle but goes away a few minutes after applying to the skin. I apply it to my under eyes, mobile lid, the corner of my eyes, and on my smile lines around my lips. Thus far, I can feel a difference in skin texture where my skin feels softer, for a longer time (thus my skin was always soft).
The real topper here is the Midnight Concentrate which I feel is a great way to “seal the deal” and lock in moisture while I sleep! This can become a bit oily when you awake, so I will recommend using a smaller amount than a drop and only applying it to problematic areas versus the entire face.
I give these products a 7/10 just because I’m not a fan of highly fragranced products and they were a bit oily when I woke up the next morning.
Nonetheless, I would still recommend it to a friend and re-purchase.
