Born in London , Maria Grachvogel created her first collection when she was just 14. Obsessed with the idea that clothing can transform your body, your mood and your confidence she experimented with innovative cutting always keeping the woman who wears the clothing front of mind. The young prodigy’s talent was quickly recognised by Isabella Blow who became an early muse and mentor, styling her first ever runway show in 1995.

Her work expanded into experimental textiles, beautiful hand drawn devore, intricate bead-work all created to sculpt the body and create 3d art on the form and later fabric itself developed from delicately stitched thread. Cobweb, the finale dress from her Raw Spirit collection became part of the archive of the V&A for the unique way in which the cut and textile were combined.
Maria Grachvogel quickly became a secret of stylish and sophisticated women including Emma Thompson, Yasmin Le Bon and Angelina Jolie. Victoria Beckham was also an early fan of her work and made a surprise appearance modelling in Maria Grachvogel’s collection. Over the years, Maria Grachvogel has created her own house and developed a network of private clients and loyal international buyers with her unique approach to design. Her collections stand out for their purity of line, excellence of fabric and craft and sensitivity to the female form.
The design development is a slow, considered process which works directly on the body always considering not only how it looks, but how it feels and its functionality, creating pieces that feel effortless and comfortable, whilst looking sexy and confident. Timeless, ageless pieces to drape or sculpt the body and digital Artwork prints hand painted by Grachvogel. Each capsule created to always fit together with past collections and become wardrobe treasures to be loved and cherished for years.
This approach to design which celebrates the woman first and puts joy and well-being into the design process has created many iconic pieces that clients insist are always available. This naturally led to a seasonless approach to collections in recent years which are now released as capsules made to order ensuring that we only produce what we need, so we can be as close to zero waste as possible.
Maria is personally committed to preserving the craft of luxury fashion and is working with a technology partner to re-imagine the future of fashion.
