Christmas is just days away and though 2021 seems like it is breezed by, that is no excuse to give or receive a bad gift! Sure The Holidays are more than gifts and is a time to spend with family and loved ones but I don’t know about anybody else, I love getting gifts! That’s my love-language. I came across this brand at the last MoDA Market and was hooked since then. I love the story behind the brand and how they are trying to keep the Basket Weaving technique alive in the Jamaican space and using older women who are versed in these skills. They offer a wide range of products including: Handbags, Place Mats and other trinkets that make great gifts for all ages.
This is a brand I recently discovered and I love the craftsmanship and creativity. She creates products from Woodwork and Epoxy Resin which are all stunning and expertly made. There are clocks, serving trays, key holders, candle holders, cutting boards and so much more!
I am quite familiar with the designer of this brand since it’s a transition from a Fashion brand to a Lifestyle brand. It is ran by a mother daughter duo and features handmade items made from drift wood. If you love that beachy + minimalistic aesthetic you will love these items as they are posh meets chill.
If you love fun colourful artistic items you will love this brand. This is great for individuals who love those special collectors items like cups, pouches and artwork. There are a line of newly released clutches that are sure to make a statement and will make great conversation starters.
This is a brand that I am quite familiar with as I’ve aquired a few of the pieces that I love. I would describe it as mixed media and ceramics and features sculptures, lighting and crockery. The brand is most know for it’s brightly coloured sea urchin structures that are great for Interior design enthusiasts.
This is the new kid on the Block for us and features all things sensoratory. The brand features hand-poured candles and body care. I was intrigued by the Linen Sprays and how small they are that they would make great stocking stuffers.
I know most people might know this brand for their selection of “herbs”, but I recently discovered they also sell CBD products. “All hand-made products made with love”. This brand is the “Brandon Blackwood” of Jamaica and features brightly coloured mid size handbags in a variety of shapes. This is great for the Fashionista who likes to make a subtle yet bold statement.
This brand has taken butter to a whole new level and has elevated the taste! If you are a lover of flavour and butter, this will be the go -to brand and it makes a great gift for other butter lovers.
