London Fashion Week: Marrknull // Spring Summer 2022 Womenswear

Fashion brand MARRKNULL presented the Spring Summer 2021 collection, inspired by Chinese 1980s movie In the Wild Mountains directed by Yan XueShu, on September 18th, as part of the ongoing London Fashion Week. The collection explores the authentic, and the primitive but strong female power, inspired by the movie’s rough life scenes of two women fighting for life.

The Collection presented for Spring Summer 2022 was the opposite of the previous collection as it featured abstract shapes, de-constructed unisex suits that seem to be a trend for the season ahead and “futuristic” shapes where it was all about clean, sharp lines and diagonal shapes.

The makeup looks were clean, simple and “glossy” that did not take away from the amazing pieces. The colour story of the brand were muted and incorporated greys, blacks and whites that can be worn throughout the year. With Fashion season now back to physical shows, we are excited to see what is ahead for London Fashion Week as these looks have our interest piqued.
