New York Fashion Week (NYFW) is back in full sling with a slew of Designers showcasing their collections in the most innovative ways possible! Of Course, they had 2 whole years of planning their comeback and we are here for it.
Carolina Herrera presented her Spring/Summer 2022 Collection in celebration of their 40th Anniversary. The pieces featured in the collection included signature CH signature florals and polka dots and looks that can only be described as ballgown looks dramatic shoulders and sleeves.

Described as a:
“fresh tribute to the glamour, fun and irreverence of the early 1980s,” this is a collection inspired by the vivid shapes, alegría de vivir (happiness of living), and bold confidence of Carolina Herrera’s early collections, and a handmade collection dossier discovered by Gordon documenting the spring/summer 1983 collection.
There were hues of pinks, marigolds, reds which combined with the powerful black and white made for a stellar collection and a “colour season” that took us gracefully from Spring to Summer with pieces that can easily be transitioned and mixed and matched to create several looks.
Other highlights included playful sequin gingham tailored into sharp suiting and mini-dresses and a print featuring painted brush strokes spelling out the letters of Carolina seen on high-waisted skirts with thigh-high slits, bralettes and elegant dresses.
Dramatic sleeves continue to be a statement element of the House, evolving to delicate puffs at the shoulder or dramatic shapes framing the face while bright floral prints were mixed with polka dots to “evoke endless summer nights,” explained the brand.
