Today, the Council of Fashion Designers of America announces the fall dates for New York Fashion Week, with shows beginning on Wednesday, September 8th, and ending on Sunday, September 12th. The CFDA anticipates the week to feature a return to in-person shows produced in adherence to New York State Health Guidelines, along with a continuation of digital collection presentations.
It will culminate with the Met Gala for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute exhibition “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion,” following the final day of shows and adding to the week’s celebration of the fashion industry and the city’s resilience and renewed vibrance.
“With current signs of progress in the pace of vaccinations and the strategic, gradual reopening and tangible reawakening of New York City, we look forward to a strong fashion season that celebrates the best of American fashion in both physical and digital presentation formats,” said Steven Kolb, CEO of the CFDA.
