The new year is here which means a plethora of “New Year New New Me” but in reality, people rarely do anything different to help them accomplish those hard goals. This year, we are going full force and doing all the things to push us further in the direction of our dreams and goals!
If you are interested in learning how you can put your 2020 goals on autopilot, the below tips are just for you!
Write them down
“Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it- Habakkuk 2:2. I’m always a firm believer that there is power in words and things become real when you write them down. At the beginning of the year, I write down all my goals, big and small just so they are all there for me to see. Once you do this, you will find that accomplishing these goals is so much easier as they help to guide you in the direction you need to move forward and help with the execution process.
medianet_width = “728”;
medianet_height = “90”;
medianet_crid = “185308422”;
medianet_versionId = “111299”;
(function() {
var isSSL = ‘https:’ == document.location.protocol;
var mnSrc = (isSSL ? ‘https:’ : ‘http:’) + ‘//contextual.media.net/nmedianet.js?cid=8CU3G4D0M’ + (isSSL ? ‘&https=1’ : ”);
document.write(”);
})();
Understand Why the Goal is Important
Writing down your goals is the first step and you now need to know why they are important to you. Let’s say for example you wrote down “lose 10 pounds”, you need to ask your self why it is important to lose those 10 pounds — it could be that you will be attending an event in a few months and you want to feel better in your dress or maybe it’s for health reasons as suggested by your Doctor. Whatever the reason you need to figure out your why and then begin working from there.
Aim High but be Realistic
There is nothing wrong with aiming high because if you don’t make the mark you make it pretty close to where you need to be but there is also the point of being realistic. If you are the type of person who goes to bed late at night and hoping to be an early riser, chances are you will not magically wake up at 4am without much practice. You might start by getting up at 7am then setting back the alarm an hour later for a while until you can really get up at 4am. This is an example of being realistic — if you have a budget of $100k and are hoping to reach a million people, figure out what you can realistically do with $100k to reach a decent amount of people. Ensure your goals are high but also realistic based on what is available to you now.
Define what YOUR Success will look like
Success differs by people and the sooner we realize this, the sooner we will be able to achieve an abundance. If you are looking to truly put your goals on autopilot, you should define your own success and not based on who or what is popular or trending. Scaling this brand to expand to the USA and Australia might mean success for me while another person might see their success as amassing a following of 100k on Instagram so please ask yourself, what does success look like to you.
Set Small, Bitesize Goals
This should have obviously been listed as #1 but I wanted to keep you reading until the end! This has been a game-changer for me and it’s really simple how it works. Let’s say your big goal is to gain 10k followers on Instagram in 3 months .. a smaller goal would be to schedule posts so there is consistency and actually responding to all your DM’s and comments so there is some form of interaction shown on the Instagram algorithm. Before I went public with this Blog a few years ago, my small bitesize goal was to write 1 article per day and stockpile those for 30 days so I had content for 1 whole month. This allowed me to decide whether or not I would be able to produce content on a regular basis and it also made things less overwhelming. If you have a BIG goal .. break it down into smaller pieces and you will be surprised at how quickly you are able to accomplish them.
These tips are tried and tested by myself and a few people I know and I can truly say they will help to put your 2020 goals on autopilot. Let us know what your goals are for 2020 in the comments section below.

We have a small favor to ask. People are reading the Haute Lifestyle than ever since our recent placement in the South Florida Blogger Awards but advertising revenues across the media are falling fast.
