Do Your 2020 Goals Scare you or NAH?

Pinterest LinkedIn Tumblr

By this point, you are probably tired of hearing about goals — I know I am! Since the year started, that’s all I’ve been seeing and reading and now writing! Let’s face it, once the calendar lands in January of a new year it’s like our brains are hard-wired on the word goals, achieving goals, what are your goals … goals, goals, goals!

var mnSrc = (isSSL ? ‘https:’ : ‘http:’) + ‘//contextual.media.net/nmedianet.js?cid=8CU3G4D0M’ + (isSSL ? ‘&https=1’ : ”);
document.write(”);
})();

My goals scare me — they always have and probably always will! I always rewind to the days in High School where I was always inspired by those girls on The Hills just living their best life and going after everything they wanted! That one-time L.C turned down the opportunity to go to Paris to be with deadbeat Jason (sorry not sorry), sure the Hills was a fictitious T.V show and all the “characters” were all privileged L.A kids who could do whatever they wanted — I always felt there was something more for me and I would learn what that something was after University. This was when I discovered Blogging and created something so different in Jamaica with much ridicule and tongues wagging and much skepticism from friends and family alike — “a dat she guh University fi do, siddung an write story and dress up and go place”.

If that’s how it was perceived well yes sis! I do have a degree in Language, Communication and Society which has enabled me to write 1000s of words daily for the Blog within minutes, have a passion and appreciation for research and facts and it also helps me to craft various content material for clients and brands alike. When you think about it, this has always been my goal and dream and it scares me to know that something I thought in my head actually came to fruition and I have a body of work + experiences to show for it. Would you be bold enough to truly go for it the way I did? Would you have the drive and motivation and stick to it ness like I did? Do your goals scare for 2020 scare you?? Mine sure do!

I want to set 3 goals … just 3 goals that when you read it, they scare you. I mean out of your mind scare you. Don’t put regular things like to lose weight or learn to drive– I mean things like purchase a franchise by the end of the year or create + launch a service that is not offered in Jamaica or listing your Business on the Jamaica Stock Market or even purchasing your home solo without any help but your own hard work. My 3 goals are quite personal and extensive and I will be sharing at the end of the year as I’m afraid I might jinx it. Believe that I will be putting in the work and sharing as much as I can as we go along.

I want you to comment on 3 BIG goals that scare you in 2020 below and the timeline you plan on achieving them. If you’re too shy – send me an email at hautepeople@yahoo.com

We have a small favor to ask. People are reading the Haute Lifestyle than ever since our recent placement in the South Florida Blogger Awards but advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. We do not have investors and everything Blog related is funded out of pocket– we want to keep our journalism as fun and open as we can. So you can see why we need to ask for your help. Our article takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we believe our perspective and voices matter – because it might well be your perspective, too.

If everyone who reads our posts, who likes it, helps fund it, our future would be much more secure.
