The Collection MoDA event dubbed “Night Market” is the event’s latest addition that was held Friday Night last on the heels of the highly anticipated MoDA Runway.
The Spanish Court’s Worthington outdoor space was transformed into a Shopping, Music and Food Paradise with booths spread throughout space as far as the eye could see! As we entered the venue, the first thing we saw were beautiful handmade straw pieces by our new friends at Beeny Bud where every piece was beautiful! We especially loved the handbag and placemat and coaster sets which would make the perfect gift for friends and families abroad. After stopping by a few familiar faces namely Brittany Johnson and her Miakalani Swimwear — the scent of delicious food from MoDA Eats area seemed to pull us in! The first stop we made was by Hamilton’s Smokehouse + Press booth who offered an interesting take on Hot Dogs that we could not resist! We opted for the Hamilton’s Top Dog that featured Beef Frank, House Salsa, Spicy Mayo, Cheese Sauce, Light Mayo, Mustard and Ketchup which could only be described as delightful and a great start to the night which was the right amount of “fuel” we needed to prepare for the walk ahead to see the other booths.
Not far from the Food area was the MoDA Music stage area in collaboration with New Waves where we saw Jaz Elise getting ready for her “Fresh and Clean” set. We plopped down on the soft-plush seating cushions placed in front of the stage where we ate the Hot Dogs. To the left was the beautiful gleam of the New A-Class Mercedes that seemed to sparkle under the stars! Of course, we had to check out the interior and test the leather seats before heading inside the venue. The most interactive booth of the night was by Graphic Designer Natasha Cunningham who offered a one of a kind portrait design where patrons could get their picture taken and she would then add her unique Designs to bring the photo to life.

The beautiful pieces from The Girl and the Magpie were a sure standout as the juxtaposition between metal and wood gave the pieces a chic-boho vibe! Again, everything here was beautiful and we are excited about the launch of their second book which showcases their beautiful one-of-a-kind pieces. We then made our way to the Designer section and we were blown away by all the talent on display! The brightly colored pieces inside the Shop Shari booth were as fun, bold and vibrant as the sounds of Carnival in Trinidad and Tobago! We were also introduced to a new Trinidadian brand called Immortelle Beauty who offers a “little luxury skincare” as they describe their products. The packaging is beautiful and their products range from lotions to candles.
We ended by night by checking out the pieces from the Collection presented by Premier Gentleman on the Runway which I can only describe as EPIC! These are custom-made pieces that are fun + colorful and feature fun prints and patterns and can be worn by both make and female!
MoDA Night Market was a great event and we are happy the event extended to a 3rd day!
