Social Media | Brand Building + Monetization | A Lovenotlikes Masterclass with Lauren O Lauren

Pinterest LinkedIn Tumblr

When one thinks of the term “Master Class”, there are a few things that come to mind like that of a super-hyped up make-up class with all the tips and tricks or music like that Timberland commercial we’ve all seen on YouTube.

A master class is a class given to students of a particular discipline by an expert of that discipline where skills are developed. Last evening the Lovenolikes community held it’s first Masterclass at Cowork Ja at the Liguanea Post Mall which featured Lauren Dunn or “Lauren O Lauren” as she is affectionately known in the Media.

Cowork Ja turned into a fun, whimsical Pinterest worthy space for the event with all things pink and pretty complete with a Pink Marguerita courtesy of CPJ Ltd. To complement the Marguerita, guests were also treated to delectable desserts from Cafe Dolce who offered the perfect spread of the Cheesecake, Brownies and Carrot cakes which perfectly got the night started.

})();

Just a little after 7:30 p.m Lovenotlikes Founder and Conceptualizer Kesi Gardner announced the woman of the night who appeared in a white ensemble as she took her place on stage.

Lauren O Lauren was in Jamaica for a short time and loaned her expertise and knowledge of Social Media, Monetization and Brand Building to a few “students” in attendance in a fun, light-hearted yet informative way. Being in the Media for over 10 years and was the first Blogger to launch a web series “The Lauren O Lauren Show” on TV, she had a lot to share and we were all there for it!

Lauren spoke on the importance of building a brand from the ground up and taking the right steps towards being really invested in the brand and evolving in the process. She encouraged us to not focus on the numbers of Social Media and fans but on building a Community as a community will grow with you throughout the process and eventually become your support system.

The importance of making an impact Offline was also discussed which is a step that is often overlooked by most content creators which she says is a necessary tool to really get your name and brand to the right people in the industry who can help you monetize and grow your brand.

The Masterclass ended with an intimate question and answer segment that really opened the floor for interaction and speaking about a lot of common issues and concerns of content creators. Guests went home with goodie bags courtesy of Lady Shelly Beauty who also showcased their products at the events including their new mink lashes.

With the success of this Masterclass and the support of Lauren O Lauren, we are already looking forward to the other Master class that Kesi and her Lovenotlikes team have in store.
