What
inspired you to launch your own brand and how did you come up with the name?
more for Therapy and something to keep my mind together. When friends and the family would see the designs I created, they encouraged me to do more and that is
where the inspiration came from. I prayed and asked God to give me a name since
he gave me the gift and BEAUCENTRIC (Where Beauty Is Eclectic) was born.
your creative process
diverse, there is no set process that I follow. I just allow my creativity to flow and I follow
it’s natural beat.
one important life lesson you’ve learned thus far since being in business?
never ever compare yourself or gift to anyone else and to trust your growth. Who
you are is not measured by what anyone else has.

find me creating and relaxing spending time with my Son.
about the scope of your work?
I have my Jewellery line and purses and I’m also a professional make-up artist. I
also paint and to be honest, I have other projects that I’m working on but not ready to
show just yet but there is much more to come from Beaucentric.
hard starting a creative business?
is hard and yes a creative one is extremely hard! I had to learn every step on
my own when you have to also do the business aspect as well as the creative (design) side of things, it’s a bit of a challenge.
I’m thankful for the support system as they keep me going. There are many times I wanted to walk away or felt like I couldn’t go any further but Jermet and Davine
wouldn’t let me.
can we expect from Beaucentric for Summer 2019 and beyond?
yeah, I have some ideas that I’m working on trying. I’m doing something that I’ve never done
before but that’s who Beaucentric is so looking for amazing out of the box
collection.
think Jamaica is more accepting of creative careers like Fashion + Design?
generation is more open-minded and out of the box when it comes to fashion and
beauty. When I’m at craft shows most of my customers are locals and they love
it.
