#Style Week Jamaica 2019 | POSH IN BLACK

Pinterest LinkedIn Tumblr

The official kick-off party for Style Week Jamaica 2019 dubbed “Posh in Black” was yesterday held at the posh residence of the Ambassador of Nigeria to Jamaica  Her Excellency Janet Omoleegha  Olisa in St. Andrew Jamaica.

As we made our way up winding roads that seemed never-ending, we finally arrived at our destination which was tucked away from the hustle and bustle of  Kingtson’s daily commute. We then made our way up to a steep driveway where at the top was a pristine mansion that exuded regal opulence. We then made our way through the main entrance which had elements of African trinkets and symbols which told the tale that an Ambassador lived there who was deep-rooted in her country and culture.

})();

The event was held outside by the pool area where the “Saint” video screen was a clear indication of this is where we should be.

Posh in Black featured the collections of 3 Accessories Designers: Aviola Accessories by Melissa Preddie, Aisha Inspirations by Mellisha Coke and Ilea’s Sandals and Accessories.

In true Posh in Black style, the night ended with a party where New York-based model “Nik” was the DJ of the night and spun beats and had everyone dancing and having a great time.

Today, we head to Fashion Block where the busy Knutsford Blvd will be transformed into a runway showcasing the collections of a slew of talented designers. Be sure to come out and see Jamaican talent on Display — it’s FREE!

We have a small favor to ask. People are reading the Haute Lifestyle than ever since our recent placement in the South Florida Blogger Awards but advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. We do not have investors and everything Blog related is funded out of pocket– we want to keep our journalism as fun and open as we can. So you can see why we need to ask for your help. Our article takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we believe our perspective and voices matter – because it might well be your perspective, too.

If everyone who reads our posts, who likes it, helps fund it, our future would be much more secure.
