Editor’s Note | Am I Tired of Blogging?

Pinterest LinkedIn Tumblr

Hi Guys! Madame Here!

I like to check in a few times in the year just to let you know what’s up with the Blog and also my plans. If you have been an avid reader of this Blog you would have realized the content has been a little slow lately and I’ve somehow gone back to posting on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I find that the older I get the more I change and have less interest in the “things of the world” and trying to appease the masses by doing everything every other Blogger is doing. I started this Blog to provide quality content that I like that will have an impact on a wide range of people.

medianet_width = “728”;
medianet_height = “90”;
medianet_crid = “138427259”;
medianet_versionId = “111299”;
(function() {
var isSSL = ‘https:’ == document.location.protocol;
var mnSrc = (isSSL ? ‘https:’ : ‘http:’) + ‘//contextual.media.net/nmedianet.js?cid=8CU3G4D0M’ + (isSSL ? ‘&https=1’ : ”);
document.write(”);
})();

I’m not tired of Blogging — just tired of doing the same things over and over again! Here in Jamaica, we have certain events specific times throughout the year and I’ve realized there is nothing new. The concept and layout of the venue of these events are the same, the same people get invited and everybody literally dresses the same … It’s just the same old. I actually opted out of 2 popular events last week as I know the outcome — the event will start extremely late (as it always does), the show will be the same format and I will have to go home and write about it and makes it sound more exciting than it actually was.

For this year onward, I will only go to new events that are fresh and exciting and have a great concept! I’ve felt a shift coming with this Blog for a while to make it more meaningful and mainstream and I will be taking the steps gradually to do just that!

The answer to the question — “Am I Tired of Blogging? Nope! Just tired of doing and going to the same old places all the time. This year, it will be my goal to find new places and new people to feature, maybe I’ll find a part of myself that was missing in this process.

As always, we thank you for the continued support and I will continue to produce quality content.

We have a small favor to ask. People are reading the Haute Lifestyle than ever since our recent placement in the South Florida Blogger Awards but advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. We do not have investors and everything Blog related is funded out of pocket– we want to keep our journalism as fun and open as we can. So you can see why we need to ask for your help. Our article takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we believe our perspective and voices matter – because it might well be your perspective, too.

If everyone who reads our posts, who likes it, helps fund it, our future would be much more secure.
