The Jamaica Rum Festival stamped its dominance on the calendar of events with a successful two-day of the festival’s inaugural staging held March 9-10, 2019 at Hope Gardens, Kingston.

Filled with entertainment, education, culture, and creative bites, the festival highlighted the best Jamaica has to offer, which were amplified by execution from Wray & Nephew White Overproof Rum.

Beenie Man, Bugle, Stacious, Pamputae, and Shane-O, initiated the party with friends at the Wray Rum booth by connecting with fans through the traditional game of dominoes to the backdrop of Jamaican musical genres and Wray & Nephew mixed drinks. Patrons were also called for a chance to take a “His Niece” or “His Nephew” photo with the legendary John Wray himself.
“We wanted every person that walked into our booth to not only taste our rum and its cocktails responsibly but to share in the experience that Wray and Nephew Overproof Rum brings to every occasion, and that is bringing people together for great moments and authentic Jamaican vibes,” noted Nadia Kiffin-Green, Marketing Manager, at J. Wray & Nephew Limited.
It was the opportunity to hang out with or give a “six love” in a game of dominoes to artistes Beenie Man, Bugle, Stacious, Pamputae, and Shane-O, kept the Wray Rum booth vibes at a constant high.
The family tree looks promising as Nadia Kiffin-Green, Marketing Manager, Campari Group and Beenie Man take a quick His Niece and His Nephew photo with John Wray to make the occasion at the Wray Rum booth.

The Wray Rum Booth evolved into the hot spot of the two-day festival with its offering of not only award-winning rum but access to genuine Jamaican culture.
Culture student and patron of the Jamaica Rum Festival Ramona Dixon made the Wray Rum booth her chill zone for the Saturday afternoon. “With the white rum mix samples, their own DJ, games, and the whole vibe, I found the Wray Rum booth very Jamaican. By celebrating the music and culture, they created a sort of community space within a whole event”.
