A glass of wine keeps the cardiologist away or so they say”!

February 18, 2019, was observed as “National Drink Wine Day” which is an unofficial holiday celebrated all over the US (and now Jamaica) thanks to Select Brands Ja — the day is all about celebrating the joy and health benefits of wine. Moderate drinkers of wine have lower risks of liver disease, type II diabetes, certain kinds of cancers, heart attack and stroke.  It also can reduce the bad cholesterol (LDL) and increase the good (HDL). A little wine ever so often might save your life!

To celebrate the day, a group of Jamaica’s Wine Enthusiasts, Influencers and Public Figures gathered at Nirvana Indian Fusion Cuisine for an intimate dinner paired with Santa Margherita Wines. On the menu were:

– Vegetable Spring Roll ft. Santa Margherita Prosecco
– Salt + Pepper Vegetable ft. Santa Margherita Sparkling Rose’
– Wasabi Shrimp ft. Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio
– Ginger Chicken ft. Santa Margherita Chianti Classico
– Kebab Platter

Invited guests also got the chance to meet special guests of the brand, Giacomo Marzotto – Business Development Manager at Santa Margherita and Matteo Di Donato– Export Manager at Santa Margherita.

Our talented photographer Maurice Tucker of Image Jamaica was at the event to capture a few snaps. See the coverage below.

People are reading the Haute Lifestyle than ever since our recent placement in the South Florida Blogger Awards but advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. We do not have investors and everything Blog related is funded out of pocket– we want to keep our journalism as fun and open as we can. So you can see why we need to ask for your help. Our article takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we believe our perspective and voices matter – because it might well be your perspective, too.
