Island Child Style 2018 | The Most Beautiful Child is a Confident Child | #Blogmas Day 10

The most beautiful child is a confident child — is the mantra of this year’s Island Child Style recently held at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel.

The premier Fashion-Runway event presented by B3 Parenting Magazine is the only of its kind in Kingston with a focus on children as models, designers, and entertainers. This year, 80 child models were selected to rock the runway, proudly wearing pieces from 15 of Jamaica’s + the Caribbean’s top Designers.

When we arrived at the venue, the first thing that greeted us was a beautiful candy backdrop by Aldor which featured a variety of sweet treats that seemed to lure the children in.

The event hosted by Yendi Phillips and daughter Israel opened with the beautiful collection dubbed “Plight” by Ayanna Dixon and her signature hand-painted designs but this time in miniature sizes for children.

Other Designers of the night were:

– Gabi Girl Jamaica by Romi Toyloy
– FlowerChild1999 by Kaysian Bourke
– nLightn by Donna ‘Nahima’ Buchannan
– Cotton Candy by Jazeene Henney
– Zaid by Zaid Smith
– Mahambeth by Mahambeth Lawrence
– Neahlis by Lisa McINtosh
– King Blessed
– Kokobeenz by Ann-Marie Robinson-Chin
– Polkadots by Cheryl Robinson
– King’s Kreation accompanied by a capsule collection by …
– Mark Anthony

Island Child Style 2018 was definitely a success and we are already anticipating the 3rd staging.

We have a small favor to ask. People are reading the Haute Lifestyle than ever since our recent placement in the South Florida Blogger Awards but advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. We do not have investors and everything Blog related is funded out of pocket– we want to keep our journalism as fun and open as we can. So you can see why we need to ask for your help. Our article takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we believe our perspective and voices matter – because it might well be your perspective, too.

If everyone who reads our posts, who likes it, helps fund it, our future would be much more secure.
