Qorihc is an innovative Awards Ceremony that celebrates and honors women who have made successful contributions in their respective areas of Reggae and Dancehall.
Tucked away behind the usually busy 2A Business complex was an outdoor, backyard setting that breathed warmth and comfort. This made the perfect setting for the launch of QORIHC — the event hosted by Soyini Phillips and Shannon “Chaos” Daley set the tone for what is to come at the main event on October 28, 2018. Before things got started, there was a moment of silence for Comedienne Elva Ruddock who passed away on Sunday.
This was no “Ordinary Media Launch” as guests were asked to mix and mingle while sounds of Reggae and Dancehall hits were heard in the background — the highlight of the night was a “dance-off” between Queen Carlene and Dr. L’Antoinette Stines that was a joy to watch.
Jhaved reminded ladies that they were true queens as he did his breakout song “King and Queens“. The night came to a close with a Fashion show where Neahlis and T&T Fashions showcased their bold and colorful pieces.
With such a spectacular launch, we are excited about QORIHC on October 28,2018. Below are the names of this year’s honorees.
