THL: Did you always want to be a Designer?
Moses Fennel: During Primary school and Sunday school, I had a keen eye on fashion and style where I saw them both as a form of art. While in second form I constructed my first khaki pants which I had few challenges with the pockets and waistband, however, it was worn to school branded “Moses Wear”.
THL: What are your principles for success?
Moses Fennel: My principles of success includes getting mentorship and expert advice when needed while staying true to the original ideas as feasible as possible. Researching new information, methodologies and techniques are also essential success principles along with meeting deadline, goal setting, vision boarding and staying relevant. THL: What would you say drives you on a daily basis?
Moses Fennel: A burning desire for fashion and styling drives me on a daily basis. Exploring, creating and experimenting with various ideas and seeing the outcomes, especially a satisfied customer bring satisfaction to my heart.
THL: What are 3 things people don’t know about you.
Moses Fennel:
I studied Clothing and Textiles while at St. Jago High school and pursued a Diploma in Fashion Design and Technology at Garmex Heart Academy.
I am a Sagittarius which naturally allows me to be an introvert.
I work as a firefighter, which somewhat influences my design inspiration and mood board – the blazing fire, the color of the flames, the burnt remains are some of the elements I usually pay attention to. I dubbed this process “The Fusion of Fashion and Fire”.
THL: How would you describe the ideal “House of Fennel” woman?
Moses Fennel: The ideal target client is fashion conscious, while she is price sensitive, the price is a minor factor to her when shopping for fashion apparel; she shops regularly for each outing and seeks unique quality exclusive designer pieces; She is inspired by high fashion personalities and wants to create her own exclusive styles. Fashion magazines and fashion websites consume her time especially when she is traveling by air. She follows current trends and styles and is an avid international fashion show enthusiast for shows like New York, London, Milan and Paris Fashion weekends. She focuses intensely on such factors as construction, quality, value, and often turn to professionals and specialists for advice.
