Imagine that –65 fabulous years of life shared with your closest friends, family and of course those whose lives you’ve touched throughout the years. Mr. Cooper looked dapper in a custom suit where he opted for a blue-tie as he greeted his guests graciously as held a pleasant smile that seems fixated on his face – this must be what true bliss looks like. Soon after, the event came to life by the talented live Quartet Band who played popular Reggae Old Hits and a few recent songs that had everyone jamming to the beats.

In walked former Prime Minister the Honorable Portia Simpson Miller clad in full black (and red) and shortly after former Prime Minister of Jamaica the Honorable P.J Patterson in one of his signature print shirt. We then made conversation with our “friend in fashion” the vivacious Clelia Barreto de Hunter, Consul of Ecuador to Jamaica who introduced us to Ambassador of Spain, Josep Maria Bosch and of course posing for our camera. Shortly after, the appetizer bar opened where we sampled the delicious vegetable soup, Janga Soup and an interesting dip made from codfish. The party then really got underway when the live music switched over to DJ Sanjay who got everyone on the dance-floor including Romae Gordon Fashion Director and Director of the Pulse Board who was definitely the life of the party with her dance moves. DJ Sanjay drew on popular dance hits from the 70s and 80s – the vibe was reminiscent of those times where people would go to events and actually danced without the distractions of Snapchat or Instagram live and had a grand time! It was a night of great fun, great food, and beautiful people!
Cheers to the Caribbean’s Pioneer of Fashion, Mr. Kingsley Cooper to 65 successful years! ?
