Beauty is now a Lifestyle and if you are not on top of the latest trends – you need to get on sis! Eyelash extensions are the latest “big” thing in the beauty industry and they will be here for years to come. Here in Jamaica, we are definitely on par with the rest of the world and the demand for Lash extensions are growing so much so that many individuals have made a living of providing the service. One such individual is  “Posh”  who recently went into the Lash extensions business full time and launched her company, LashTeisha.
THP: For people who may not know… give us a brief introduction of who you are
POSH: My name is Leteisha. I’m just a simple girl who enjoys doing lashing. Figured I’d make it a business since I enjoy what I do and there’s a growing demand for it.

THP: Tell us about the LashTeisha brand and how you got started?
POSH: Lashteisha was basically created from my name fused together with lash. I order quality products from overseas and offer my customers the best and most current lash on the market at an affordable price. Not only do I enjoy lashing, I was professionally trained and certified in November 2017 to provide exceptional service that is up-to-date so that I’m always on the top of my game.
THP: Give us a brief insight into the Lash Extensions process
POSH: Fusion extension is basically individual lashes being applied to each lash for a more natural look and authentic feel. If applied properly, one should not be able to tell the difference between the real lash and the applied. Fusion lashes are longer and fuller to add an exotic appeal to the women’s eyes. The process normally takes up to 2 1/2 hours. The eyes must remain closed throughout the entire process. While this is being done clients are normally well relaxed and some may even fall asleep. Lash extensions should last 4-6 weeks with proper care.
THP: Tell us about the types of extensions you offer
POSH: As mentioned earlier, Fusion extensions are my primary choice, however, as new products emerge on the market. I’m certainly keeping my eyes open ?to whats out there so I can keep my clients trendy and current.
THP: Of all the specialty areas in the Beauty Industry, why lashes?
POSH: Well, to be honest, I myself don’t have full lashes and I always want to have that full look. My lashes are very short and curly so with the lash extension I’ve found I can achieve that look. I decided, if it works for me then I want to help others  achieve the same result. So, as a user of the product, who best to market it knowing it works.
THP: Generally, how long does a lash extension session take?
POSH: The process should normally take 2 1/2 hours or less depending on the clients particular needs.
THP: What should potential clients do to prep for their sessions?
POSH: Just show up, really; however I usually advise clients not to put on any make-up or mascara before a session just to make the process easier for everyone.

THP: What are your 5 “Holy Grail” make-up items?
POSH: Eyelash, Eyeliner, Lipstick. Foundation and Primer
THP: Do you think Jamaica is more acceptable of “alternate” career choices like yours? Why or why not

POSH: For sure, lash extensions are like hair extension: it has become another part of the facial landscape; another must have for beauty, style and convenience. Basically, beauty is no longer skin deep, it’s a lifestyle so expect lashes and the fascination with it, to be around for years.

THP: How can people book your services?
POSH: I can be booked via email, phone or social media. My contact info is: lashteisha@gmail.com or whatsapp me (876)793-5611 or visit my Instagram: @lashteisha
