CoverGirl recently launched its Full Spectrum Makeup line in Kingston Jamaica!
The Pavillion at the Terra Nova Hotel was recently transformed into a make-up lover’s paradise with the CoverGirl signature black and white pinstripe backdrop, brightly lit chandeliers, makeup stations with ring lights perfect for selfies or testing new make-up and of course Kingtson’s biggest names in Make-up and fellow beauty enthusiasts in attendance.

The event hosted by Jamaican Media Personality and Actress Dahlia Harris had all the elements of a perfect girl’s night out type of vibe which was the perfect setting to learn about the new collection.
The CoverGirl Full Spectrum Makeup line is a collection exclusively for women of color –the line was inspired by and developed for women of color as black skin comes in a broad range of skin tones and the brand spent time creating the perfect shades. In fact, it was announced at the launch that it took CoverGirl 2 years to develop the line as they did extensive research to find formulations that worked and spent time perfecting it. The collection not only consists of foundations and base products but a “full spectrum” of products including eyeshadow, face palette, primer, eyeliner and lipstick which were all designed to meet the personal needs of people with a darker skin tone and complexion range. One of those issues is Oil Control! The Foundations from the collection is great for combating this issue as they come in 2 formulations: Matte Powder and Matte Ambition All Day (Liquid) which is both mattifying without making the skin look flat and best of all they are buildable! Whether you are a “no make-up, make-up girl” or a “full face queen” this collection is perfect for you.
The night ended with a Make-up Fashion show, where invited guests got to see the CoverGirl Full Spectrum line in action on the models! Following the Fashion show was a high energy performance by Dancehall Artiste Tifa who is also the CoverGirl Brand Ambassador.
