“At Gabby Glam, our mission has always been to empower women and help them feel confident through makeup artistry. Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of serving so many incredible clients, many of whom are brave cancer survivors. Their strength and resilience have deeply inspired us,” said Gabrielle Waite.

Ms. Waite further explained that the loss of her aunt earlier this year to breast cancer made this cause deeply personal. “This experience reminded me of how vital it is to support those battling cancer and to celebrate survivors. Through our Shades of Strength Campaign, a portion of proceeds from every Gabby Glam Cosmetics lip gloss goes to support the Jamaica Cancer Society. This donation is a continuation of that mission—where beauty and compassion go hand in hand.”

A Lifeline for Women in Need

According to Michael Leslie, Acting Executive Director of the Jamaica Cancer Society, the $50,000 donation will significantly impact the organization’s ability to provide screening services.

“This generous donation from Gabby Glam Cosmetics will be used to enhance and strengthen our mammography screening program,” said Mr. Leslie. “It allows us to offer mammograms to eight women who might not have been able to afford this critical service otherwise. Early detection is key to saving lives, and contributions like these help us reach more people in need.”

The Power of Partnership

The partnership between Gabby Glam Cosmetics and the Jamaica Cancer Society reflects the potential of corporate philanthropy to create meaningful change. Mr. Leslie expressed gratitude for the collaboration, stating, “We deeply appreciate this partnership and look forward to working with Gabby Glam Cosmetics on future initiatives that promote cancer awareness, early detection, and support for survivors.”

He added, “We encourage other businesses and individuals to support the Jamaica Cancer Society. Donations like these enable us to continue our mission of cancer screening, education, and awareness, creating a healthier Jamaica for all.”

When communities come together with compassion and action, we can inspire hope and create meaningful change.”
