The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) has announced the preliminary schedule for New York Fashion Week (NYFW) Spring-Summer 2024. The event will commence on Friday, September 6, 2024, with a show by Area, and conclude on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, with a presentation by Melitta Baumeister, the 2023 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund winner.
New York Fashion Week Spring-Summer 2024: CFDA Unveils Preliminary Schedule
The schedule currently includes over 60 confirmed runway shows and designer presentations, with additional collections expected to be showcased digitally and by appointment. This diverse lineup features a mix of established and emerging designers, highlighting the breadth and innovation of American fashion.
Among the returning brands are 3.1 Phillip Lim, Alejandra Alonso Rojas, Andrew Kwon, Brandon Maxwell, Carolina Herrera, Coach, Collina Strada, Delpozo, Diotima, Eckhaus Latta, Elena Velez, Jason Wu, Jonathan Cohen, Kallmeyer, Khaite, Lafayette 148, LaQuan Smith, Luar, Michael Kors, Monse, Naeem Khan, PatBo, PH5, Prabal Gurung, Rio Sport (formerly Gypsy Sport), Sandy Liang, Sergio Hudson, Theophilio, Tibi, Tory Burch, Ulla Johnson, Willy Chavarria, and Zankov.
This season also sees the return of COS, Cynthia Rowley, Simkhai, and Who Decides War to the New York runway. Notably, Ralph Lauren and Proenza Schouler will present their collections ahead of the main NYFW schedule.
The CFDA is excited to host international designers Off-White, Ronald van der Kemp, and TOTEME for the first time on the Official NYFW Schedule. These global brands will bring their unique perspectives to New York City’s fashion scene.
Newcomers to the Official NYFW Schedule include Cotte D’Armes, Michael Fausto, Salon 1884, and TWP, each debuting their collections during this prestigious week.
This season also marks the 20th anniversary of the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund. Current finalists, including brands like 5000, Grace Ling, Kate Barton, Jane Wade, L’Enchanteur, Presley Oldham, Sebastien Ami, and Wiederhoeft, will showcase their latest collections, highlighting the next generation of fashion talent.
The CFDA NYFW Travel Fund, established in 2022, continues to foster relationships between international press and media stakeholders and the designer brands featured during NYFW. Now in its fifth season, the fund has supported nearly 40 international editors through financial and in-kind contributions, underscoring the cultural, artistic, and economic significance of NYFW.
