How to Make Holiday “Haute Chocolate”

Hi Guys! Though I won’t be doing “Blogmas” this year, I’ve decided to create Holiday content to share my love of Christmas and a few Holiday Traditions my family and I hold dearly.

I love traditions that are passed down from generation to generation and I’ve created my own Holiday tradition which is what I like to call Holiday “Haute Chocolate”. I know the name might sound a bit over the top, but it’s the taste that makes it Haute as the ingredients are rather simple. Now that I’ve rambled on enough, read below to learn how to make your very own “Holiday Haute Chocolate”.

  • Marshmallow
  • Nutmeg
  • Kit Kat Bar
  • Mugs
  • Spoons

Directions

  1. Boil water for 2 minutes. You don’t want the water to be super hot but just a little over Luke warm.
  2. Add Hot Coco mix, evaporated milk and sugar to cups. I didn’t include specific measurements to ingredients as it depends on your taste and how sweet you would like it. I find that these sachets and not to my liking when it comes to taste, so I like to add sugar and milk to sweeten so it has “taste” and is not bland. I’m a Jamaican after all and we love flavour! Flavour is a must.
  3. Add hot water to the mixture, taste .. then sweeten if desired. This is where you will grate the nutmeg and add into the mixture.
  4. Add marshmallow to the mixture. If you purchased regular sized Marshmallows you will have to cut 1 in about 4 just so they are easy to fit in the cut.
  5. Crush Kit Kit while still in wrapper and add on top of the marshmallows.
  6. Add Whipped Cream on top as well as any left over Kit Kit you might have.
  7. Serve and enjoy.

I hope this recipe put a smile on your face and helped you to create your own Holiday traditions. Let me know if there are any traditions you’ve held on to and also if you’ve created your own traditions.

I hope this Blog post inspired at least one person and helped you to pursue your own dreams.
