For 7 days, we will be publishing content on the Blog, Social Media and our Newsletter with prompts that will encourage you to take action to become a better version of yourself. Each prompt will feature 2 actionable steps and 1 self-care activity.

To join the challenge, all you have to do is visit our website at https://www.thehautepeople.com/ scroll to the right tab of the page and subscribe to the area as indicated below and you are in! Not to worry, we don’t spam! We personally hate that and wouldn’t want you to be bombarded by unnecessary emails.

We will, however, send an email once per month (after this series) with content you will love, discount codes from your favorite stores (locally and internationally) and first dibs on our products and services.

Let’s Get Creative with Day 3 of our challenge!

Do Something Creative you’ve always wanted to do

Creative Ideas

You are way more creative than you actually think. If you were to think all the way back to childhood when things were more innocent, I bet you were that kid who would paint or draw or maybe sing or even dance!

The thing that changed for most people is that we grew up, lost that childlike innocence and stopped believing in our dreams. Now that we are home, why don’t you give yourself the chance to just breathe, dream and be creative? Start by doing something creative you’ve always wanted to do!

Google is a great place to start as it is the world’s largest search engine or Pinterest for inspiration. Additionally, you can also try websites like Udemy or Coursecraft to get started. These websites have a number of short-courses you can start right away for a fraction of the cost.  Now that you’ve been given the motivation you need, Let’s Get Creative!

Your Task: Visit the Udemy or Coursecraft and sign up for a course.

Dress Up

Dress up

I get dressed everyday as if I’m still going to work! After all, what am I going to do with all those clothes? There is a psychology behind getting dressed daily that is linked to being more productive and it also links to your mood.

Think about it, when you wear Pajamas all day, though you might feel extremely comfortable, you also feel tired and want to be in bed all day.

However, when you get dressed daily as if you are going out, you are inclined to being more productive and getting more work done.

If you are not able to commit to dressing up daily, pick a few days out of the week to do so. Include your hair, jewellery + accessories and makeup (if you wear it) and finally, your shoes! Try this today and let me know how it goes.

Do your own Nails

DIY Nails at home

Remember back in high school when Dr. Scholls Foot Spa was all the rage? There were some of us who didn’t have that and resorted to getting a shallow basin, filling it with warm water and allowing our feet to soak then we scrubbed away the dead skin.

You can do the same at home; in fact you should do that now. I know a lot of people who are going crazy because they are not able to get their nails done at their favorite nail salon – think back to a time when you had no means of going to a salon and you had to get creative and do it yourself.

So there you go, do it yourself at home! You will find that once things get back to “normal” you might even become a professional and is able to save a few extra bucks.

Now that you are all caught up and have the tools you need to be successful, Let’s Get Creative!

Keep the conversations going by commenting on Social Media that goes with this post.

  1. Hello, I think your blog might be having browser compatibility
issues. When I look at your blog in Ie, it looks fine but when opening in Internet Explorer,
it has some overlapping. I just wanted to give you a quick heads up!
Other then that, very good blog!

    • I agree, the Blog is relatively new and I’m still finding my way around. I’ve realized that and is working to have it fixed.
